Chikungunya is a viral disease, which is caused by the bite of an infected mosqui.. Due . this disease, a person starts having fever and joint pain. Chikungunya is similar . dengue. When a mosqui. bites an infected person, the Chikungunya virus goes in. that mosqui. and when this mosqui. bites another person, he also gets Chikungunya.
The symp.ms of Chikungunya usually last from a few days . 2 weeks. However, the joint pain caused by it can last for a long time. It has symp.ms like persistent fever, nausea, vomiting, joint pain, headache and skin rashes. People who al.y have diseases like high BP or sugar may have more problems with Chikungunya.
There is no treatment or vaccine available for Chikungunya, but it gets cured on its own in some time. It is important . take care of yourself in this.
